Revenge:
Throughout history, revenge has seldom worked mainly because after you the revenge on someone else, that person will retaliate and again get revenge back on you. After the USA, France, and Great Britain won World War 1, they wanted to get revenge on Germany for starting the war in the first place. Great Britain, France, and the USA planned to do this by creating the Treaty of Versailles. The main terms in the Treaty of Versailles consisted of Germany having to accept the blame for starting World War 1, pay 6,600 million pounds back for all of the damage during the war, they were limited on their amount of soldiers in their army and naval ships, they were forced to have no more tanks, air force, and submarines, and finally land was taken away from them and they were forbidden to have Anschluss with Austria. Germany was very angry with this treaty because they thought it was way to harsh, but ended up following it completely. There was one man who really did not like this treaty, and his name was Adolf Hitler. He wanted revenge. Immediately when he became Chancellor of Germany he started to break the treaty, and Britain and France just let them do it because it seemed reasonable to them and they had no intentions of stopping him. Hitler then built up his troops, built up the navy, took over Rhineland, made alliances, and even had Anschluss with Austria again and Britain and France barely even cared, because for some reason it all sounded reasonable to them. Soon Britain and France wanted to have a meeting with Hitler and in that meeting they said if Hitler did anything more to break the treaty they would have to go to war. About six months later Hitler broke it for the last time, and on September 1, 1939, World War 2 had begun. As you can see revenge seldom works in this world because it will only lead to more revenge and retaliation.
Appeasement:
Appeasement in this world also rarely works in society because most likely, whoever is getting appeased will most likely want more things, and when they want more things it is possible that they could ask to be appeased again, but if they don't get appeased a war could possibly start so they can get what they want. For example, after World War 1 and the Treaty of Versailles, Germany was doing many things that were breaking the treaty, and was just getting appeased over and over again. Germany, led by Hitler, was building up its troops, building up its navy, marching into Rhineland, making an alliance with Japan and Italy, and even got their Anschluss with Austria back. Great Britain and France appeased Germany for every single one of those events even though they were completely against the signed Treaty of Versailles. All appeasements lead to someone gaining more power, so with Hitler and Germany having so much appeasements, they gained a ton of power. This power led them into breaking the treaty again, and again until Germany thought they were ready for a war which would start soon because of all of the things they did to go against the treaty. On September 1, 1939 that war finally started, and would later be named World War 2. As you can see appeasements seldom work in society because it gives people so much power that they might be able to start a war and take over your entire civilization.

Who and/or what caused World War 1
I think that all the European countries together caused the war because. . .
-All of the countries were arguing that they should have/own more land.
-There was much retaliation between each country.
-Leaders in each country were not trying to prevent the war like they should have.
-Everyone disregarded each countries defined destiny.
-Both groups mobilized there troops in certain ways to make the other countries mad, and again make them want to retaliate.
-The countries were basically tempting each other to go to war by buying so many new weapons.
-When all of the countries in Europe kept imperializing, the relations between the countries worsened causing hatred to form among the countries.

Part 1: The three greatest internal problems that could lead to the fall of the United States are the decreasing of morales and values, political corruption, and increasing unemployment.
Part 2:
1. Decline in Morales and Values - Many people really did not care about themselves during the Roman Empire and therefore tried to drink until they got ill, do stupid things to get themselves hurt, and cheer on violence whenever they could. With so many people not caring about themselves or their civilization, the Roman Empire could easily fall and no one would even care. We in the United States also do this, but a little differently. Some people in our country also do not care about the health of themselves and drink until they are ill. Furthermore, almost everyone in our country also cheers on violence whether it is by playing violent video games, watching violent shows, or even playing with fake guns all of the time. With so many people having declines in their morales and values, the USA might eventually fall just like the Roman Empire did because of their declines in morales and values.
2. Military Corruption - The Roman Empire had major problems in their military including the soldiers having just stupid arguments about everything. Every moment of each day the soldiers would be fighting with each other or just lay around and do nothing. Their slacking military would allow easy access to the Empire by invaders. If those invaders got in, thanks to the slacking military, they would easily be able to take the empire over because in the center of the empire, Rome would have no protection. A similar thing is also happening in the United States with the military. The United States is having problems with military spendings. These spendings could completely crash our economy as a whole, and if we needed money for education or something else, we would not have enough money to support it because we spent it all on the military. Why we as a country are spending all of our money on the government, other countries could be spending all of their money on educations, and with those educations, they could become smarter than us and learn how to conquer us. If they conquer us, I would consider the USA as fallen just as the Roman Empire fell thanks to their military issues.
3. Political Corruption - During the Roman Empire, the population was growing at a very high speed, and that caused for the government to create new harsh laws so they could keep all of their people in line. This caused the people to become angry and rebel the laws because they wanted freedom, and they thought that the newly created laws were going against their personal freedoms. Now the government had to make a choice, either to take off the laws and let them run freely throughout the empire, or keep the laws and have people constantly rebel on the current government. Either way it was a loss. With that huge political corruption the empire could easily fall. The USA is also facing this problem. We are starting to become overpopulated, so with more people, we need more laws, and with all of the laws people will rebel, and with all of the rebellions the empire will be open to fall just like the Roman Empire fell because of the same type of political corruption.
